The Well of Wyrd,
A frightful Well indeed.
Shows us Norns what has happened.
Terrible things.
Things your kind would consider blasphemy.
First came the Winter of all Winters.
Coldest and longest.
Turning clans against clans.
Families against families.
Brothers against brothers.
And for 3 Midgard cycles,
This was the norm.
Sol herself could not break this Tempest's grip.
Skoll finally claimed his prize.
And Hati his.
Three cockrels crowed:
One of Crimson in the forest of Galgvid.
One of Gold in the hall of the Aesir.
One of Soot-Red in the halls of the Undead.
The earth crumbled.
Fenrir was set free.
Jormungand moved swiftly to the surface.
Freeing Naglfar from its grave.
Loki, God of Deception, lead the forces of Hel.
Surt, Lord of the fire giants, joined the fray.
Wielding a blade blazing like the sun itself.
Yet the gods met them at Vigrid.
Odinn engaged Fenrir,
And Thor attacked Jormungand.
Loki and Heimdall, age old enemies,
Collided one final time.
Tyr saught the hound Garm.
Killing each other in battle.
A swordless Freyr succumbed to Surt.
Fenrir takes his chance,
And Swallows Odin, but in vein.
Vidar, Son of Odin, kills Fenrir with bare hands.
Surt flung fire across the earth.
Burning friend and foe.
This was Ragnarok.
The Destruction of the Gods.
The Well of Wyrd.
A frightful well indeed.
Shows us Norns what is.
Terrible things.
Things you consider undeniable.
The Winter of All Winters.
Has come again.
Three cycles have past.
This is the norm.
The Well of Mimir.
A frightful well indeed.
Shows us Norns what is to be.
Terrible things.
Things you will consider Destiny.
Ragnarok has come once again.
Gods will collide.
Nothing can be done to prevent it.
Not even Odin himself.
